Ana is an undergraduate student (major in Biology, minor in Health, Medicine, and Society) from Stony Brook University on a pre-medical track. She joined the de Lazaro lab in June 2024 as a part of the UGSRP (Undergraduate Summer Research Program) hosted by NYU Tandon School of Engineering and as an American Heart Association (AHA) Fellow. Ana is studying mRNA modifications and their effects in protein translation in cardiac cells.
