Iana graduated with a B.S in Pre-Veterinary Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2021 where she conducted developmental biology research under the Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) grant. After graduation she worked in the biotech industry for 2 years aiding in immuno-engineering and AI/Machine Learning research. She joined NYU in the Fall of 2025, and started at the de Lazaro lab the following semester pursuing a M.S in Biomedical Engineering
