Jeremy Perrelle
Research Associate
Jeremy earned his B.S. in biology from UNC-Chapel Hill and taught chemistry with Teach For America after graduation. He subsequently worked on lithium-ion battery development for a start-up in Berkley, CA, utilizing skills in engineering and materials science. His path eventually led him to medical school at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson where he earned his M.D. in 2024. During medical school he developed a peripheral nerve graft (The "Cellularized Nerve Regeneration Graft") utilizing induced Schwann cells, functionalized hydrogel, and resorbable polymeric scaffold to promote nerve regrowth. He matriculated in July 2024 as an internal medicine resident at NYU School of Medicine where he has cultivated an interest in cardiovascular disease and therapies, namely methods to ameliorate heart failure and arrhythmias.
