Nergishan İyisan

PhD Canditate, Technical University of Munich

Nergishan earned her BSc from Istanbul Technical University, where she completed a double major in Molecular Biology and Genetics and Chemical Engineering (2013–2018). She then pursued her MSc in Chemical Engineering at the same university (2019–2021), where she worked on the development of self-healing hydrogel wound dressings. In October 2021, she joined the Microrobotic Bioengineering Lab at the Technical University of Munich as a PhD candidate and research assistant, where her research has focused on stem cell mechanobiology, differentiation, and the development of active biomaterials as microscale biomanipulation tools. In April 2026, she joined the de Lázaro Lab at NYU as a visiting scholar for a three-month research stay as part of her doctoral research.
